Maybe it's just me or because I'm so new/ young and dumb but I like the way those synthetics look. They look clean and modern to me but to each his own. I have seen some pretty dope wood stocks too...

I shot a 770 too and I was either the same caliber or smaller than the 700 and it kicked way harder. Didn't like it.

I buy $10 plastic ones from the gun shows. They are not as heavy as the metal ones. They also have a good seal with a hole for a master lock. Oh and it is doubled latched.
