Sorry I didn't mention that. I zero my .22 rifles @ 50yds. Except for a couple that I shoot squirrels, turtles & other dangerous game, those have a 25yd zero.

At first I liked mine. Then I had some trouble with feeding & the ejector fell out. All of that was easily fixed & now, two years & a lot of rounds later I can say that I really like my 597.

Your right! Got to 300 with some elevation left to spare. I can't call them groups yet, but I was hitting my IDPA style steel target at that range. Even a 4 mph 1/4 value wind will blow the .22 LR...
