I shoot a .495 roundball wrapped in a .012 ticking patch, pushed with 60 rains of fff. It's real tight to start with, and I don't need to make it any harder. I run the dry patch just in case, and to...

My good friend Charlie punched a 10 pointer right through the boiler room with a 45 cal patched round ball, with Goex FF. We stepped it off at 220 yd, but that was down hill and back up. The next day...

Cleaning
Cleaning a bp rifle is not a big deal. I used to pull the barrel (50 cal TC), stick the breech into a bucket of hot soapy water, and plunge repeatedly with a patched jag until it stopped squirting...

I bought my first 1022 around 1983-84. Put a Tasco scope on some high-rise mounts and took off for squirrel country. Was very unhappy with the results - groups about the size of a paper plate at 50...

In future takedowns, place the action in a large ziplock bag or similar, large enough to get your hands in there with it. That'll help catch parts trying to escape.
