I bought a MP Sport as a first AR from a friend for $250 with only 20 rounds through it. It has been a completely reliable accurate shooter and I really like it.

I wanted something decent that...

My local range has classes from basic care and maintenance, basic pistol shooting, all the way up to threat based shooting. The classes are actually very reasonable but you have to take a long a...

Those mag limits are such nonsense. I see Colorado limits you to 15 but the SR series limits you to 10. I am surprised no one thought to make a mag for them somewhere in between 10 and 17 but I...

I would highly recommend the Ruger SR series. I have seen them as low as $369 new but typically they are around $400 which may stretch your budget a bit too much.

They come in two sizes (full...

Don't tell anyone but I bought a .40 because for a while it was the only pistol ammo I could find in stock. When 9mm and .45 were unavailable the .40 cal ammo was still sitting there.

Nothing wrong with that as long as you don't plan to carry it.

Just trying to explain to the OP why buying a Glock makes no sense if you want a manual safety. It's like buying an Automatic car...

I would say no. There are guns just as good or better than a Glock that already have a safety.

Glocks in my area are $539 new. Add a $138 safety and you are at almost $700. There are plenty of...

Would a frame mounted safety stop a thug? Nope of course not unless it required a key to operate it. Glocks have safeties to prevent the fun from firing unless the trigger is pulled. Same as a...

Bushnell TR25 isn't bad for around $65. Yeah it's no aim point but it works and I find the dot to be sharp, bright and pretty accurate.

interesting test today

Test or no test I don't think there is a whole lot to choose from between the major calibers as long as they are good quality defensive loads. 9mm, 40, 45, 357 will all do the job.
