What is it that you want this load to accomplish? You can load the 44 from mild to wild. HS-6 or True Blue for light duty and H-110 or 296, or Enforcer if you want to feel it.

I wouldn't let the age of the ammunition preclude me from shooting it, but it may be worth more to a collector than blasting away. If kept high and dry it should work just fine.
