Thanks for the help everyone. The offending cartridge was removed safely with the aid of a wooden dowel. No explosion, no damage and no injury.

Thanks to JonM and fmj for the reply. I agree with fmj that 44 mag is not my self defense first choice but, I no longer hunt and want a really good load for this single shot rifle.

I wipe down my rifles with light oil each time...

I wipe down my rifles with light oil each time they go out of the house and, if fired, a thorough cleaning, inside and out. My CCWs' are cleaned each time they are used.

trip286, I would say that age is character when it comes to guns, furniture, cars and old men. I don't have a digital camera but will post pictures when one happens to come visiting.

Llama MiniMax II

I have a Llama MiniMax II .45 cal that I am trying to find an internal recoil spring for (part # T455). I realize Llama is no longer in business but hope someone might be able to offer a suggestion....
