With the XDm 9mm holding 19+1 rounds any good standard pressure hollow point should suffice for home defense, if not have an extra loaded mag or 2 handy.

That's a new one on me, most Mgfr's will void warranty on reloads, overseas made,STEEL CASED AMMO etc.. not NEW brass/nickle made USA ammo. I've shot thousands of WWB ammo with no issues.

I've been very happy with my DPMS AP-4 in the 4 years I've had it not one problem of any kind. It's got maybe 5k rounds thru it and loves the Russian steel case ammo, so if it works it works be happy...
