I had the paracord wrap until I got the riser. The paracord made the wire stock more comfortable but for me, it did not provide an appropriate cheek rest.

Also, the SKS was never designed to have a scope or red dot mounted. It was intended to be a strictly iron-sights weapon.

Most, if not all, of the after-market scope mounts for the SKS do not work...
