I use the 50/200 yard (meter) zero because the trajectory is so flat from about 0-230 yards. It's dead on around 45-50 yards and again around 200. It's the same zero LocoTonyF described. It stays...

Good ideas, Hawk! Either Ruger will continue support of the Mini or it won't. We'll see over the next year. I hope they do. It may depend on how the AR-556 sells.

I am an AR fan as a builder, you...

I like my Streamlight TLR-1s light, high quality and easy to operate. I think the new ones are 300 lumens, my two year old model is 165 lumens and cost about $100.

I updated the PSA dissipator with Magpul MOE rifle length handguards, a CTR and MBUS2. It's definitely slimed down from the fat M4 style rifle handguards. And the MBUS2 instead of carry handle drops...

I've used a few Stag and Daniel Defense LPKs with good results, both used CMT parts. ArmaLite was good, I think theirs was LMT. The single PSA kit I used has a very good trigger for milspec, better...

Well I'm a lucky old timer who's dodged a few bullets and had lots of scrapes and spills on bikes with no helmets. Lots of dangerous stupid stunts that didn't do any real harm by the grace of God....

Some of the mixed opinions on .40S&W recoil depend on the caliber used previously. I moved down from .45ACP so don't mind the .40. Moving up from 9mm is a different experience. Size and strength of...

Yes, it's a good price for a 6920 at a local store, about $100 off the standard Walmart price. Since it's an open box, you might watch an unboxing video on YouTube to see what should be in the box....

My first 40S&W also was a G22, a cheap LE trade-in years ago. I loved it and the caliber so soon after bought a new G23 Gen 4. Soon after that I bought a used G27 Gen 3. I'm pleased with each which...

Have you considered a midlength BCM upper? I'm very pleased with mine. The cost is about the same carbine length gas but you can use 2" longer handguards. I'm not familiar with YHM or specter rails.

I agree with those who'd rather pay $20 +/- more for a quality 7075-T6 lower receiver when building or buying an AR. The extra 4+ ounces gives you a much stronger AR. If you do go with a composite...

I also bought ZQI 7.62x51 147gr FMJ-BT for $9.97 a 20-rd box.

It fits on the FSB tight then is cinched down with two hex screws. And it is shielded by the barrel from a side blow. I'd say it's a secure as most other light mounts as long as the FSB is pinned...

We really need to know what the black rifle is. If it's a crappy AR then selling it won't hurt so much. But if it's a good one I'd keep it since used ARs are going real cheap, no matter how good they...
