I got a pack of them from Midway..Cut them to fit ALL pistols, Revolvers and Rifle.. No rust in my safe either..I even got the renewer spray just to make sure.

Was this BNIB? If so, haven't you got a manual explaining this proceedure? If not Google search for a manual online.. Every mfg has a so called proceedure so I would at least contact the company...

I find that only those that have never used one are against them..I carry the PT-840 very comfortably in a Cross Breed IWB holster. Highly recommend the pistol for all round..My BUG is a Bersa...

I also use a Bore Snake but probably differently than you..I dip it in Hopes 9 where the string and tube start..I pull it through til I feel the brass part coming out..then pull it back and forth...
