Well, this is what I use...

Trijicon tritium night sights- they're easy to see, index is better as the front sight is surrounded by orange for daylight, and the tritium tubes are certainly bright enough for night time...

I have had 10 1911s over the last 40 years. I finally learned a few things, and those are the reasons why I left the 1911, and went to Glock's .45acp offerings- and will NEVER go back...
