Spittinfire has most likely nailed it. Its normal on the GP100's and the SP101 to have a little rattle from the transfer bar, It happens on both of mine and has no effect on function.

Thats about what they are going for here in my area for new ones. I picked up this one slightly used for around 600. with some ammo included. Its a very accurate 44 mag and handles recoil well....
