I'm going the other way, starting with an 8-oz 5-shot .22 Magnum. Looking to graduate to a 11-oz, 7 shot .22 magnum. It's tough to conceal big heavy stuff in Florida.

The long cases of .22M can cause extraction issues, especially with a snub. Ruger went for reliable extraction over higher capacity.

I have the LCR-22 and I think it's about the perfect tackle box gun. It's lightweight but can handle being knocked around. The concealed hammer will help keep the innards clean, and it's fun to...

I think the Black widow is the best of the minis. It's a little large for a mini, but for me, it's a lot easier to shoot. The sights are decent, the longer barrel helps a lot, and the large rubber...

This is just wrong. I shoot at dime and quarter sized targets at 15 and 20 feet and hit 'em all day long with the Black Widow. Maybe your mini was just too small for your hand. The gun itself is...

From Ruger, the LCR in .22 Magnum and a full-sized polymer/alloy DAO service revolver, call it the LSR. I'll take a 10-shot .22lr and a 7-shot .38/.357 and a 5-shot .44 Special.

I think at 14-oz, the LCR-38 is a good size and weight for .38 Special. The extra 3-oz weight of the KLCR is not going to help much with the massive recoil of Magnums. IMO, .357 is best shot from...
