My eyes are good but my distance judgement beyond 100yds fails me sometimes. I am thinking of using one of those see thru scope mounts. And a 3x scope. Where I hunt the longest shot might be 175 yds....

Thoughts on the .35 remington cartridge

Anyone have an opinion on the .35 rem? Effective range? Drop at 100 yds? The rifle would be a marlin 336. Should I put a scope? Any info is appreciated.

Argentine mausers are pretty sweet shooter. Surplus ammo may or may not be hard to find depending on where you live and new commercial isn't exactly cheap.

I heard the .308 ones were a mixed bag. Some are awesome some are terrible. I was tempted to get one in .308 but I had heard that there was a possibility of receivers not handling the pressures.
