Yes you will need a new threaded barrel. Brownells may have them. Once the suppressor is installed, you may also have to play with the recoil spring weight to get it to run properly.

Because it is CHEAP and quiet fun. Suppressed .22's are very quiet when compared to the larger calibers. The suppressors are generally cheaper too.
