If they were handled or any moisture/oils were on them when loaded that could explain... I have 10 year old primers that hold up fine if stored proper.

+1 for 550b dillon. Also get a single stage like a lee for 30$ for odds n ends. .223 resizing on a 550 can be a pain, really any bottle neck. I like to resize on my single stage then send them...

Make sure to pay attention to cost of ammo for the 38super which is by no means inexpensive or abundant. Especially compared to the 45acp. If reloading that's another story.
