I guess I just always thought of a boat tail as something designed for better flight on rifle bullets. I didn't know there was a place for them in handgun bullets.

I have seen those Handi-Rifles in .500 S&W magnum before. In a rifle that would be more powerful than either a .444 Marlin or .45-70 yet totally legal for hunting in the shotgun only zone.

In short-same thing. A 5.56 has thicker brass and "can" handle a bit more pressure, has a slightly negligibly different neck angle and is usually only FMJ bullets.

Definitely Blackhawk. If it's smaller than a .357/.38 than it has to be .30 carbine, .32 H&R mag, .32-20 Win, or .327mag.
