Sorry the text formatting didn't transfer well but looking at the energy values show at 300 yards the highest energy level is barely over 900 foot pounds. All other bullets were near one-half this.

It's all about knowing your gun and reload performance. Routinely taking prairie dogs at 600 yards with .223s is very doable. Using the .300 mag with quality reloads will easily double this distance....

Over the years I tried most available weight bullets in both 7mm R.M. and STW. What I have settled on are the Nosler 160 grain Accubond. Excellent accuracy as well as superb hunting round.
