I dont think i would ever want to carry a WW2 era BAR in a shtf scenario it with its ammo is extremely heavy even with the carry handle but to "field strip" a BAR is extremely time consuming and...

I just bought a 94 and love it but if you plan on scoping it i would recommend the marlin also try and handle both the 94 fits me better due to the straight stock but my buddy prefers the marlin...

I think the ar is a better weapon and all around more fun but if i was u i would ge the ak first because the likely hood of an ak being banned is much higher than an ar and if it is banned the prices...

Im by no means an ar expert so please feel free to correct me but i beliebe the mid length refers to the gas system as opposed to a carbine length gas system the mid length system reduces felt recoil

I agree the 94 is slimmer than the marlin which is one of the things i like about it but the solid top of the marlin gives it a definite advantage for scopes i personally dont want a scope so no big...

Ive looked at a few cabelas is ridiculious on the price of there used ones 500 and up for post-64s and 450 plus for used marlins but i have found a m94 at a lgs for 265 in good shape tho i didnt get...

Axx i completely agree with you that the marlin is a smoother action better designed and the better deal cost wise but the winchester just feels better in my hand and more comfortable in my shoulder
