I have lugged my behemoth many miles. Fact is, my confidence in it (and me) is worth it for longer shots. Now, mostly hunt with it out of stands, however.

I love it. Its a fun little tack driver, an and I hope to get in a little varmenting with it this summer. Ammo was a little tough to get at first, but now not so bad.

It does have a 40mm objective lens, but the OD of the ocular is about 42mm, hence me thinking if I went with a smaller ocular it would work.

Savage makes a great rifle - I've got a 110 in .30-06 that I can constantly shoot .75 inc groups with and a B.Mag. For hunting, I prefer a detachable magazine.
