I would look into crossbreed, I have two of them and they are great for concealment. They run about 70 or so dollars, very comfortable to wear all day.

Someone who can TIG weld very well should be able to do it with no harm to the barrel. I would try to find a welder in your area and ask their opinion about it though.

No problem, they should keep you occupied and give you tons of information on the tactical use of your carbine. It will make you want to buy the Magpul B.A.D. lever too if you don't have one.
