The remington website used to have a useful little program called "remington shoot", you enter the calibre, bullet weight etc and it does all the ballistics for you.

I'd say the size of the grouping on the Russian light ball isn't too far off your hand loads - just needs some scope adjustment to put it on target-centre. If it's really cheap might be the best...

DSC1 is not that different from what is required to get Permit de Chasse here in France...meat handling/gralloching isn't included but there's quite a bit of law and all species which are huntable...
