You wouldn't necessarily have to carry a .22 for PD, but shooting one a lot would be a cheaper way to get real good with an LCR, whether it was a .22 or a .38.

I will be interested to hear how they shoot when someone gets one. I have a .38 and my only complaint is the trigger pull seems really long. That's not a deal breaker, but I noticed it.
