"low brass" simply means that it is a "light"...

"low brass" simply means that it is a "light" load, not much powder...as opposed to "high brass" which are "heavy" loads, with more poweder.

anyway, "low brass" or "high brass" should not matter...

bird shot works fine for me, you are usually close enough to do some pretty good damage. i just use whatever is in the chamber to kill snakes...usually it is 7 1/2 dove loads.
