I had the cylinder machined (recessed) on my Ruger .454 Alaskan. It can fire .45 acp with moon clips. It's such a beast...feels like firing .22 rounds...;)

Sig makes an excellent 1911 pistol. I have owned three of them, and all three were very reliable. You should know that the Sig 1911's are not exactly like the typical 80-series 1911 design, though....
