Stars look and feel like 1911s, but JMB would not...

Stars look and feel like 1911s, but JMB would not recognize the internal lockwork.
But then again, the same could be said of my Para Ordnance LDA, which no one has a problem calling a 1911.

The only real consumable is the recoil buffers....

The only real consumable is the recoil buffers. Those are now available in the aftermarket for cheap.

I have quite a few Spaniards. As above, the Stars re great pistols, solid, reliable, accurate, usually with a great trigger.
They have the 1911 look and feel with better lockwork IMO.

I disassembled, soaked in Evaporust, then polished out frame and slide with 400-grit sandpaper. I did not try to take it...
