Single Shots

My Wickliffe is a 22-250 with exhibition wood and gold inlay. I have several Browning B78's and a slew of Ruger No. 1's in virtually every caliber offered. I love the single shot, side by side & o/u...

Scope

I don't know if I would need all that power and doubt I could get a clear sight picture at high magnification unless shooting from a rest. I do have some Burris scopes with posi lock and like them.

Contender scope

I agree, that is why I am leaning towards fixed power.

Perhaps on my 30 Bellm that I can use for deer in IL I may opt for a variable as this caliber is accurate out to 150 yards.

Simmons V-Tac scope

If you are not familiar with these they are on par with Leupold and others. Very high quality, first focal plane scopes.

280 rem

I too like the 7mm and the 300 WM but the 280 allows so much flexibility for most game animals on this planet and carefully loaded, not too much ouch on the receiving end.

Para Ordnance

That is too bad. Mine supposedly has less than 20 rounds through it. It appears to be as new. I was told they were very accurate and reliable.

Redfield Scopes

Redfield has been resurrected again by Leupold. Anyone have any of the new ones and do you know if they will honor the warranty on the old ones?
