I'm in PA so no castle doctrine, but we do have the stand your ground law.
According to that link we're also not required to attempt a retreat if possible, i'll have to look into that.

whether it is spelled out in law or not, I will not lay down and be a victim
I was surprised to see Colorado and Maryland have SYG laws. Even more surprised to see VT has a requirement to retreat in certain situations though reading the statue it seems that self defense is justifiable

Washington has neither but our Supreme Court has upheld self defense slayings and the case law reads pretty close to stand your ground laws.
I'd personally still rather retreat "if it's a option" but if given no choice I'll certainly reduce the gremlin population and take my chances in court. Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

By an overwhelming majority (161-35) the Pennsylvania State House approved a “Stand Your Ground” measure, which allows the use of deadly force anywhere you feel you are in grave danger, without having to retreat.

Yeah the great state of Iowa needs to hurry up and fix their deadly force laws!

I live in Florida, what do you think?
Gov. Scott has opened an investigation into this law.
Just when I thought I had picked a gun friendly state the ugly underbelly of the libretards rears it's political head!
