Default Wounded Warrior Project Anti-Gun

Just read this link and didn't know if anyone else heard about this....

http://www.fishgame.com/webnews.php/?p=14933

Also, I found that 10% of expenses are salaries at 11.5 million, with just under 1.2 million going to management. 10 management salaried employees with the lowest paid at $126K and the highest $320K + benefits and 401K. Over 1 million paid to lobbyist.

Start on pages 7-8 here:

http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org..._2010-2011.pdf

Just wanted to pass on and get your thoughts

A big part of their mission is the health and well being of soldiers who have a high rate of suicide by gun. For their logo to be on a gun might send the wrong signal. As far as I know they are not lobbying for greater gun control they just don't want their logo associated with firearms and that's fine by me.

They just had something on the news a few weeks ago about solders coming home and trying to do that. It's sad really that things like this happen to people who fight for our freedom. They also have ben talking about charities using the money for there own salary. One woman over a brest cancer only gives 15% of what her charity makes to cancer patients and research. Makes me won't to lock these people in a room 2 feet deep in asbestos for 2 weeks and turn on some blowers.

There will always be scum that use charities to prey on people. Try to verify any charity before you donate and dont ever donate to anyone calling you on the phone. Good way to lose your identity. If I get a call and am inclined to donate, I go to the charity on line and verify it. Also check their ratio.

I won't donate to WWP.

I donate to projects sponsored by the American Legion and the VFW. My post works with vets one-on-one.

They pretty much stay out of politics except for bills directly affecting veterans.

Yeah we've definately hit this topic a few times. WWP is like any other tax-exempt outfit, they beg for dough and bring less to the table than the VA offers for free.
