I would sign it, but it also has to be a petition with good cause. So make it a petition to repeal the GCA of 86 and 68, and the NFA of 34

Unfortunately my Congressional representatives are Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer and Anna Eshoo. They no longer open my mail I am afraid, if they ever have. I have never gotten more than a automated response from them when I write, despite my putting in the correspondence a demand that they not reply at all if it is a generic response. I say "If I receive back an automated response I will know that my voice has yet again not been heard. If there is anyone reading this letter, please do not send any response so I will know it is being read."
Without fail a generic automated response is sent.

It strikes me that regardless of what we do, whether we offer an ultimatum of non-compliance or not, it is immaterial unless we get more than a comparative handful of people who would make a declaration and just by this small sample here I would say it isn't going to happen. The end result would be we would again be ignored (that is until the confiscations begin ).

To better track responses I have added a poll. Can all of you please vote- even if you do not respond again.
Thanks,
Vikingdad

Viking,
I'm certainly not bashful about sharing the honest intent of the founders when they penned the Second Ammendment...nor am I bashful about pointing out the insurection and full blown revolution such an act would provoke.
With that said, were such a petition to fall short of the estimated 80,000,000 gun owners signatures, it would be viewed by our adversaries as a good sign and proof that we are in fact...a bunch of paper tigers.
Combine that belief with the number of responses here of members who would not sign such a petition for fear of retaliation...and I think that any turnout would be portrayed as fringe radicals and proof of the need for more government action.
...as if being a member of FTF does not already have all of us on someones list.
Personally, I believe that Liberals are no different than the playground bully we all dealt with as children...and they are best disuaded by honestly letting them know that looking your way WILL result in a azz whooping. Of course like the playground bully, telling them will not suffice...we will have to bloody a few noses for the message to sink in...so be ready and remember, our strategy is NOT to punch first, but to counter punch effectively.

I have a question. Why is everyone always preaching on here about stuff like this which is an open forum but would not say it on another open site? What's the difference? IMHO big brother pays more attention to sites like this than a dumb PR petition site.

Tackleberry is right. Liberals especially now since Soterro has won his coveted 2nd term are being bullies and they are villifying gun owners and anyone who defends the 2nd amendment. Its amazing to me they have the traction they have. I see alot of conservatives caving on this and saying they are willing to compromise. I think thats the easy, chicken **** way out. Im not willing to give up anything. I am a responsible gun owner and I have done nothing illegal. I dont feel like my rights as an American should suffer because some wacked out punk killed some kids. I will tell Soterro to his scumbag face to keep his socialist paws off my guns and my rights. Millions of Americans through the years have died protecting the constitution and what this country stands for. Im no better than they are. If I have to I will. Not on my bucket list but Im not giving in that easy.

We all comply with the unconstitutional restrictions that have already been placed upon us. Why should this next round be any different?
(OOps- forgot to vote in my own poll! )

Can only speak for myself so here it goes...
I started paying attention durring the debate for the 1994 Crime Bill. It pissed me off, got me involved, and millions of others with me. That bill alone popped NRA membership from 3 mill to 4 mill overnight...and gun rights have been on the march ever since.
So the Douche Bag In Chief got a second term...So another mass killer has struck...So what...BFD! the honest truth is that mass killers owe there success to Political Correctness, Liberal Policies, and GFZ's...
Our rights had nothing to do with it and the removal of our rights will not stop the next shooter. THIS IS WHY IT'S MORE SERIOUS ^^THIS^^ TIME!
Any gun owner who lays down, accepts further restrictions, and allows our schools to remain GFZ's is just as EFFING culpible for the next mass killing as the AZZHOLES who pushed them in the first place.
Remember guys, this is not JUST about stopping another restriction...it's about also seeing meaningfully change through the removal of GFZ policies.

Don't think I'd want to participate in that one. I don't want my name on any hit list formulated by the gov. Think I'll just keep my mouth shut and watch what happens.
