C3 can speak more accurately about the laws in Virginia but I believe that face to face sales are legal for long guns at least.

I went to Virginia's site concerning a carry permit. It seems like I'd be good to go. It just says if I've been sent to a medical facility involuntarily I can't get a CCW, and I was but not by a court and I was a minor at the time sent by my grandmom.

How old were you, and if I may ask, why did she send you there? Please don't feel the need to answer the why, just curious. But, you age at the time has me thinking...

Once at 11 and Once at 12. The first time was because my OCD was really bad, the second time is because I hit her. never got any kind of charges, she told my psychiatrist and he was like "well if you don't want to go to juvenile hall, yo have to go here." I was there for two weeks each time. Actually I was there the first time when I was 5, so I could be "diagnosed". But I was there that time for 2 months.

It took them 2 months to "diagnose" you?

Well, like it hs been said before, talk to someone at a local gun store, and see what they say.

AFAIK, most security jobs require either a .38 SPL, or 9mm, or .40.

IIRC, You're very limited as to

what you can carry. So, as someone else said, get the job first.

You may even find they issue you their weapon, after you get

your permit.

Yes, when I went back at age 11 they told me "oh well we operate differently now, we only can keep you for two weeks." I went to this place for the first time in 1993. Throughout my life I have been force feed pills. Antidepressants and ADHD meds on and off until I was 19 and stopped taking those drugs. It was a situation like "take this or I kick you out." I hate to think of the neurological damage that has been caused and I try not to think about it, for evertime I do I get incredible angry.

You did the right think getting off the drug cocktails. I can't stand parents who think that drugs are a magical cure and that the more you take them the better you'll feel. Great business for big pharma, not so good for customers. I hope things turn out ok for you.

Thank you, things are starting to look better, well despite the government trying to use drones to spy on everyone.
