Yep, just as i thought. The fat chick wanted the scumbags body.

From the Durango Herald:

Quote:
Stevie Marie Anne Vigil, 23, who pleaded guilty to buying the handgun for Evan Ebel, a paroled member of a white supremacist prison gang accidentally released four years early, was sentenced to more than two years in prison and three years of supervised parole. Prosecutors had asked for six years for Vigil, but U.S. District Judge Christine Arguello said they failed to show she knew of Ebel’s criminal plans.

.................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ..................................

Vigil, a friend of Ebel’s since she was 11, “wanted an intimate relationship with Ebel, and he used that knowledge and information over her to get her to buy a gun that he couldn’t buy himself,” Arguello said.

Don't most sates have a charge known as "Fellony homocide"
Where an accomplise can be charged for the death of a partner in crime or the victim of a partner in crime?

if i'm not mistaken, i think you may be correct. but, maybe they have to be present when the criminal act occurs, like driving the getaway vehicle or actually involved with the criminal act, even if they didn't putll the trigger.

i can still see her being an accessory after the fact though in this case.

After the fact? The gun was bought before the murder. Huh?

maybe not exactly the correct terminology, but by buying the pistol in her name, for her so-called boyfriend, and because of the criminal acts he committed with that gun, IMO she is an accessory to those criminal acts.

True, she is/would be an accessory, however, "after the fact" would be something like a get away driver, or helping dispose of the body or some other act that takes place AFTER the crime.

Buy supplying the firearm, (especially if he asked her to buy him one..) they'd both be guilty of conspiring to commit a crime (in this instance, they actually did conspire to commit a felony, so those charges should have been added).

i just hope the general meaning of what i was trying to convey came across, even if i did use the wrong wording.

she knew he was felon to begin with. she bought the gun for him. he used the gun in the commision of a criminal act. she had to know he had ill intents for the use of the gun since he couldn't legally buy it himself. that make her an accessory in the conspiracy to commit a felony IMO as well.
