Woman Gets Two Years For Straw Purchase

This dingbat woman knowingly bought a gun for a vicious convicted felon and gang member who used it to commit murder. That woman should have been found guilty of accessory to murder. In OK she could have been charged with murder. Instead a bleeding heart judge gave her two years in prison. That judge should be thrown off the bench.

The scumbag shot a law enforcement officer:

The criminal died in a trash filled ditch along the highway, how fitting.

I agree. The straw purchaser's punishment was not severe enough.

i agree. she got off way too light. she should have gotten at least 20 years or more. she knowingly bought an ex-con a firearm.

justice was not served in any way in dealing with her case. at least the ex-con got what he deserved.

How does this not get tied in with accessory to murder? It wasn't like she had no idea what he was going to use it for.

Wow, seems like this BS happens more often every day. I don't know why society has degraded this far. I mean people brag about looking sloppy, dropping out, and gang banging too, now this?

Accessory before the fact. She should be doing 15-20.

Two Words - plea deal.

People continuously step on the 2A rights of law abiding citizens and then you hear of a plea deal like this. Criminals rights our protected and we get screwed.

The straw purchaser laws are flawed, makes prosecutors lazy cause a slam dunk is assured using a lesser statute. They dont necessarily punish the perp for the crime that occurred because of their act, just the act itself. She was an accessory to the crime because she participated in the preparation for the crime. On the other hand, millions of Americans have their rights restricted daily attempting to encourage criminals to follow laws they never will follow!

There was no plea deal.

The dingbat judge claimed the prosecution failed to prove the straw purchaser knew the gun would be used in a violent crime. Well, duh, judge: The idiot knew the scumbag had a history of violent crime.

Quote:

The judge in the Stevie Marie Vigil case justified the shamefully light sentence by saying there was no evidence that Vigil knew or could have predicted Evan Ebel’s planned use of the gun she obtained for him. Yeah, sure. Vigil was shocked, simply shocked that Ebel, a violent felon, used the weapon in the commission of more felonies. Who could have predicted that? She probably thought he wanted a 9mm handgun for squirrel hunting.

i hope the state of TX tries Vigil for accessory before the fact in the shooting of the deputy.
