Why I Support Common Sense Gun Control

Folks, I am entirely in favor of common sense gun control. This video explains why.

Do you agree with me?

nice video ... but the fallacy in your position is that gun control advocates understand common sense

hehe good job

Whose definition of "common sense" would be the problem.

Warrior1256 03-22-2013 11:21 PM

I agree. Why are we all complaining about common sense gun control (at least this version)?

MisterMcCool 03-22-2013 11:28 PM

He could have worked "common sense" in there a couple more times.

Many years ago after some thought I came up with a 'commons sense' definition or common sense.:D
"Common sense is the WISE use of KNOWLEDGE"!
As you can see there are two components to common sense. The problem we have today is there are MANY people who go from birth to a DEGREE ( under grad to PHD) with no REAL life experience!!!! The only way to gain WISDOM is by life experience so you end up with a person who is considered 'qualified' simply because they a 'well educated (have a degree). This has been a problem because 'we' have pushed this 'need' for higher education to an extreme for about 50 years now. Thus it would appear that 'common sense' has been KILLED by our over zealous push for more HIGHER education!:(
Today the ratio is 90 to 95 % Knowledge and 5 to 10 % Wisdom! To me the ideal ratio would be 40 to 50 % Knowledge and 50 to 60 % Wisdom!:)
Your thoughts?????

Good video! The problem, as Orangello pointed out is whose definition to use. Another similar term is "fair taxes"; no one can agree on what that means.

I support common sense gun control as well. Problem is there isnt and hasnt been to my knowledge any common sense legislation put forth. Everything Ive seen is stupid kneejerk gungrabber crap. Look at the governments performance over the past 5yrs and explain to me how common sense even popped into your head.

I think we have more than enough gun laws on the books. Just wish we would enforce them consistently.
