The article does NOT say 19 Executive ORDERS. Executive ACTIONS are a different matter. And yes, ACTIONS can include things such as enforcing laws already on the books (Federal prosecution where Federal & state laws are both broken, such as felon in possession, etc)

So what is the differance between an order and an action ?

An executive action is just enforcing current law. Like if obama was to actually enforce immigration law that would be executive action. What he is doing in regards to immigration law is executive inaction.

So executive action in regards to firearms would simply be enforcing current federal law.

An executive action could be directing the Center For Disease Control (CDC) to study and advise the FBI on means of seeing that persons adjudged mentally incompetent ACTUALLY get entred into the NICS database. It could be directing the Dept of Justice to prosecute violations of existing Federal Law. It could be directing the ATF to offer training to state law enforcement on gun laws. It could be creating a panel to study violence in movies (yeah- like THAT is going to happen!)

There IS a LARGE difference- was not trying to nitpick you- they are 2 different things.

Like lightning and lightning bug.

I now they were talking on Sirius Talk radio last night on the David Webb show. They actually had the 19 actions, granted I was driving and did not have pen and paper to write them down.

Unbelievable.
All eyes on NY today as they are first to set the stage. 7 round mag limits is really boiling my blood, there are so many problems with this proposal that could literally screw everyone

Here we go....

I expect long-term it will get overturned, but it will be a long battle. NY will be even more hostile to gun owners in the years between.
