When THE MAN comes?
So I been giving it some thought, what will I do if it comes down to it and the government wants to take my guns. And I have come to the conclusion I will not go peacefully. I see it playing out as me barricading myself in my home and they will have to come in and pry them from my own cold dead hands.
What are some of your thoughts, you give in or go guns blazing, or what else let us know?

No guns are registered under any of my families names. I officially don't have any guns. But I would put up a fight and join in a rebellion.

Who is "they?"
Would you expect to survive the encounter?
Does anyone else depend on you?
It is damn hard to predict what you may or may not do when faced with your own mortality. Expressing your intent to be a "cold hands hero" from the comfort of your computer is quite different from being surrounded by a SWAT team, who were quite willing to blow you to pieces.
Peter Keller apparently thought the same way, and prepared for years, but when push came to shove he ate his on gun and didn't fire a shot at "they".

GUNS!?!? What are these guns of which you speak!?!?
Guns are utterly dispicable things to be sure!!
I dont have nor would I ever have one of those evil things in my house!! i have kids for gods sake!! Think of the children!!!

Really?
There’s a blog somewhere by someone who lived through the Bosnian madness. He said guns and ammunition were available. You used what you could find. Criminals don’t have a problem getting guns. Historically guns always seem to show up. You're not going to be able to do much without an organization except die. If ‘They’ come to get your guns, keep in mind they’re not going to do any good if you’re dead, but you’ll be able to get replacement guns. ‘They’ can take you guns, but ‘They’ can’t take away your proficiency.
Besides, didn’t you lose your guns on that boat that sunk with the rest of us?

I had a bunch of guns but lost them when the FTF cruise ship sank.
Why I let DodgerBlue talk me into bringing every gun I owned on the cruise is beyond me! Vanity is a b1tch!
If I'm not mistaken, several FTF members lost all their guns on that fateful three hour cruise.

Too late Bud, you are already on all of the lists, as are all of the rest of us here. We may not bother to find out who each other really are, but others may. If you have ever bought anything firearm related with a credit card, if you have ever got a concealed weapons permit, if you have ever donated to the NRA, ever held a hunting license, forget it. Every word you have ever posted on the internet is available to those who, breaking your net identity, takes milliseconds. But, don't worry about it
