I too live in ca.
Today finishrd the paper work on my new, soon, 22/45.
I think they,
the state and the fed,
want to make it as hard as possible to purchase a hand gun.
Still, I know for some other folks,
it is a lot harder.
Remember, who you vote for, and remember they make laws and appoint people who make laws.

I have always been kinda curious; if you have a permit to carry in your county, can you carry throughout the state, or is it only good for the county of issue?

If you do that in California, prepare to be arrested, tried, and jailed for more charges than I can count! It's too bad I'm stuck here in CA for the foreseeable future. I got a bad case of gun law envy because of you Alaskans.

Permits issued in NY are valid throughout the entire state EXCEPT for New York City.

It's good everywhere in the state except in and possibly around New York City - that has a whole different set of laws.
