There seem to be two schools of thought here:

1. A war with our government is inevitable and needs to be initiated so we can continue to have all the guns we want. If the government behaves in a lawless manner, why should we follow the laws?

Some people think that because they were once a part of the government or held a "special" job (infantry/cavalry/special forces/whatever) think they still hold that job and are "entitled" to do and say whatever they want.

2. Going to war with a government with the most technologically advanced and well funded military is suicidal and not a realistic option. Just because the government can't control its fear and paranoia doesn't mean we can't.

Some other people realize that even though they were a part of the government, they are no longer in uniform and while what they did and were a part of may have been fine while they were a member of that organization, the same rules don't apply to them now and there is no such thing as equality. There should be enough evidence of what happens to Rambo in real life when he/she decides to "be Rambo", but apparently all evidence to the contrary is not enough to dissuade some people from self-destructive courses of action.

Patriotism, liberty, loyalty and all other words that sound really nice in theory but don't amount to a hill of beans when people with more men and more firepower than you have are shooting at you is what the argument seems to center around. If any of the people on this forum were serious about their "liberty" and thought it was important enough to start shooting people over, they wouldn't be typing in a forum, they'd be on the streets engaging the people who were responsible for "taking their liberty".

Personally, I think there are better ways of achieving freedom than shooting at people and I also think that we're nowhere near needing to start a war to reform the government. It's pretty apparent to me that our sense of morality and liberty is not shared by the voting majority. I would like to wait until the current regime's time in office is up and, in the next election cycle, throw their sorry rear ends out on the street where they belong.

That pretty much sums up this thread.
Honestly, I'm not sure where you got the idea that a significant number of people posting on this thread WANT to go to war with our government, much less be the ones to initiate it. I think it would be more accurate to say that many of us will continue living our lives just as before, and no new law will deter us from exercising our rights (even if we exercise them in secret). But if someone shows up and demands our firearms, we will decline to turn them over. We will remain peaceful if at all possible. But if they (whoever they may be) resort to force, we WILL defend ourselves. If that results in war, then so be it.

I'm equally amused at those who believe the "rotten house of cards" that IS our Gooberment is somehow invincible because they have tanks, aircraft, ect...ect...

Any 2nd rebellion will not be formations of patriots marching on D.C. or meeting Federal troops in open fields.

Vietnam and more recently the Arab Spring have proven that even a poorly armed civilian insurgency will eventually topple any government.

There is no greater disparity of arms and manpower between us and our Government than existed between Libia's Ghadafi and his people... In fact, I'd say it's the opposite.

On top of that... American patriots would not need to gather in large numbers. We would not need to "take and hold" ground. Doing so would be suicide from air attack and it serves no purpose.

All American Patriots need to do is two very simple things.

1. Refuse Registration
2. Refuse Confiscation... with deadly force if necessary.

That's it, nothing more is required. We make up 1/3 of the population. Even if only 10% choose resistance were talking about a completely undetectable force 8 to 10 Million VS a standing uniformed police force of 1 million. Even if active duty military was engaged... and complied, you only adding another 1.3 million boots to the ground and less than 25% of those are trained trigger pullers.

So... stick to your guns... follow your principles... protect your neighbors/community, and if your forced to ACT remember...

Defense of Liberty is ALWAYS the right course of action regardless of the uniform worn by the oppressor.

Should any bloodshed come from this, it will not be the fault of the citizen defending his LIBERTY and his PROPERTY. It will be on the hands of politicians who were foolish enough to attempt such an affront to freedom and the LEO's who followed UNLAWFUL orders.

I see what they are talking about but you are right. We are only going to take so much until we say enough is enough. Keep in mind, the sheep are going to be brainwashed into thinking we are the bad guys. So if we can make them know we are the good guys, we will win. The rest of this population is under an effort of CNN to brainwash. If they become awake, the government will no longer have its fighting force.

Our gov plays us like playing cards. They never show us what cards they are playing. They are so compartmentalized, even people in the military often times have no idea what is really going on.

We can not win a war on our soil, fighting the military we purchased with our own tax dollars. When the shtf, just hope the end is quick.
I completely disagree. They don't know what guns we own, how much ammo. The reason for this whole thing is so that they know that stuff. We have the element of surprise. We know what they got. Whenever you think/say you are going to loose, you will already be doomed.

When this happens, there will be no need to convince the lemmings. Government will do this without any assistance. Martial Law, collateral damage victims, and suspension of liberties, always combine to erode support for the State and swing it to the insurgency.

People do not follow empty promises and platitudes, they follow principled courage.

...so, stick to your principles, defend your values and communities, and STAND up for your rights.

NO is a very powerful word.

Tack. Very well said.I only disagree with one thing in this post.

The smart ones will figure it out in a hurry to say the least. Those who voted for Obama on the other hand.............. After all, they reelected him and Biden after 4 years of empty pockets, and unfulfilled promises.

Talk about an epic fail on a national level.

...and the Government is already moving to secure the loyalty of these "voters". The TSA is nothing more than a new arm of "Equal Opportunity" for Obama voters... as DHS swells it will become more and more a "useless" collection point for otherwise "useless" people to draw a paycheck.

The administration willingness to "divide" Americans is one thing... the scarier part is they are actually giving "authority" to and "arming" them.

The socialist playbook always includes the "purchase of loyalty" by elevating the status of one group at the expense in both "liberty and treasure" of another group.

Tack,

You can't buy loyalty, friends, or love - although many have tried. All you really need to do is to use the same manipulative techniques team Obama used to win his last campaign to demonstrate to his followers how their leader has betrayed them.

The unions, dope smokers, LGBT crowd, gun control crowd. All of them are "divided" on what kind of results they're actually getting from him. All they agree on is that he's "not George Bush". I'm not sure how Dubya became so polarizing in politics, but he did.

Money well spent would be a relentless campaign starting now until the next elections demonstrating how much of a fraud and failure Obama and his administration are. Half of his own party doesn't support him, which is why all the "gun control" legislation has mostly evaporated into thin air.

We need a lesbian dope smoking union worker who owns a small arsenal as our candidate for president. Ideally she should be for murdering her own children (to garner the support of the womens' rights crowd) and against other people murdering her children (will support using firearms to defend our children). She'll drive herself around in a hybrid Chevy pickup with a gun rack on the campaign trail. There won't be a NRA sticker on the bumper because all of us who belong to that organization are evil domestic terrorists and are not to be trusted.

That ought to confound the hell out of the race warriors, eco warriors, feminists, and unions.

I beg to differ my young Padawan Learner...

Take a 3rd Generation welfare hood rat... pin a badge on him... put a paycheck in his pocket... and you just BOUGHT LOYALTY.

Americas Black community has been suffering from the lies of Democrats and Race Pimps for 70 years. The vast majority are stuck in inner city poverty and they pretty much all believe that there condition is the result of "rich old white men". They are absolutely RIPE for the plucking and the Democrats know it.

Who better to carry out unconstitutional orders than those Americans who believe there entire previous existance amounts to being "victimized" by the man... who finally have there "man" in power... and who have absolutely no understanding or respect for our culture or our rights?

Black America has been being "groomed" for this for a long, long time...
