It would be interesting to submit all of the recommendations and have a month long vote on them.

No negative ads, no million dollar donations and no bull****.
It would be a great break from our present election.

1. 1903 Springfield
2. German 98K Mauser
3. British Lee-Enfield
4. Colt SAA
5. Colt 1911

The first 3 waged war in more nations than anything of all time and to this day still endure. The Colt SAA changed manufacturing of all things forever and the 1911 still today is the most customized, used, discussed and admired of almost any handgun ever made.

There's been many others and will continue to be too.

I'm 19.

I based my list on guns that had a big impact on the world at one time or another. Wether it be due to design, popularity (military or civilian), or effectiveness. But I do want all the guns that I listed, and I do perfer wood to plastic.

hahah i remember History was having a special on old tyme weapons and this one was on for like 15 mins but i liked how it ended. "armys that were armed with the mauser rifle were said to be unstoppable, until they ran into other armies armed with the Winchester repeating rifle."

They didn't make 20 million of them to hold for the American surplus market. These rifles served in wars you probably never heard of, and every war you have heard of.

The Mosin Nagant is the rifle that brought Germany to it's knees. But other than that, I guess it isn't very important.
