I've given this long, careful and deliberate thought. 
I have taken my flag down, folded it correctly and tightly, and placed it in a glass front case in my parlor.
It will remain there until the Caliph is un-anointed.
It will not fly over the Obamanation. I love it too much to allow that.
When the Caliphate is no more, it will again fly proudly over a free America.

And that's what I did. I put the Gadsden flag outside. Why? You might ask. Because hanging a noose from my lawn with a sign 'free hippy rides' is unacceptable in my area.

Mosin , I think you gave me what I was looking for ..I put up my flag pole and my American and Texas flag In my yard before I finished building my home . People in the neighborhood took notice and stopped by to introduce themselves while I was working ...you could see it in their eyes and read their minds ...before they even knew my name ,they knew Me. American and proud !All over America there are thousands /millions of flags, most people caught up in everyday b/s never notice them ...but you see one upside down or half mast ,it is noticed and people kinda snap out the fog they're in. That is why I started this thread . I hope that my intent was understood by all. No disrespect anyone . POWG = pissed off white guy

To fly the American flag upside down because you feel that the government is not doing things right .
Is wrong on so many levels , yes you have the freedom of speech . But remember this that same flag you fly upside down is the same one that is draped over a casket . Don't disrespect MY flag . Either fly it right or don't fly it at all .

I too am an American Veteran who personnally escorted 6 flag draped coffins, with my friends inside, back to their families. I fly my flags high, proud, and illuminated not for our country's leaders but for those who gave the last measure of devotion to this COUNTRY AND OUR FREEDOMS.

Flying any national flag upside down is not disrespectful in any manner.
It is a centuries old sign of emergency distress. That flag will drape MY coffin pretty soon, so I am extremely sensitive to any disrespect shown to it. And I see no disrespect at all in flying upside down.
On the contrary, it signifies that the person doing so has the common sense to recognize what is being done to our country by that socialist sonofabitch.

I understand what an upside down flag means. Are you in danger? Is their an emergency? If so call 911 ! But because you don't like the way the government is doing things is not am emergency. Our country has seen allot worse and we are still standing.
