Are Washington Republicans Folding Under The Pressure to Bans Guns?
FYI! What I am thinking, not worth typing!
http://www.ammoland.com/2013/03/washington-republicans-folding-under-the-pressure-to-bans-guns/#axzz2NJDl3ail
You might think that with Republicans in control of the US House of Representatives there would be no way ANY gun control legislation could reach the floor.
But sadly we are already beginning to see so-called “conservative champions” folding to pressure from the anti-gun media to sell-out gun owners.
Former Vice Presidential candidate, Congressman Paul Ryan, has stated that he would support legislation that bans private sales at gun shows.
In the House, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, along with the help of Rep. Scott Rigell (VA), Patrick Meehan (PA) and others, have stated openly that they will work together with anti-gun Democrats from Maryland and New York to tighten restrictions on private firearms sales and expand background checks.
Possibly even more upsetting has been Senator Tom Coburn’s willingness to work alongside anti-gunner Chuck Schumer (NY) to propose “bi-partisan” anti-gun legislation in the Senate.
Make no mistake, so-called “expansion” of background checks is little more than a blatant attempt by anti-gunners to register all firearms and gun owners in America.
That is why Representatives Steve Stockman (TX-36) and Paul Broun (GA-10) have drafted a letter to Speaker Boehner and the Republican leadership urging them to require the support of the majority of Republican members in the House before bringing any anti-gun bills to the floor.
Is the GOP Preparing to Cave?

if the GOP caves in than it will be the dustbin of history for them. As it is they are floundering at the national level to draw out even their own supporters.
Cave on guns = nail in coffin

We knew some would fold, but let's make sure we remember those that are with us and those that are against us when they once again are asking for our votes.

To fold implies they were against it. Nothing they have said to-date supports that.

I'm screwed, two Dem Senators, and a Dem Rep... In a state with a RINO gov who veto'd an expansion of gun rights. We gained more under our former D Gov than this yahoo RINO.

Coburn refused to play Schumers silly anti-self defense game. Maybe the pressure from Okie voters got to him-who knows? Anti-gun F rated Republican senator Kirk of IL also saw the light and refused to play Schumers stupid "common sense" game. That leaves idiot Democrat senator Manchin from WV. Manchin has lied so much no one knows where he stands.

Republicans posture and blow hot-air, sometimes angrily for effect, while Democrats, spineless and cowardly, will like leaves blow hither and thither by the winds of consensus in Washington. But for me I see it as yet another chess move across the national board to confiscate all firearms, destroy the 2nd amendment, (and eventually the constitution), pull the plug on Wall Street (as in 2008), and effect the NDAA bill signed by Obama to call for martial law. It don't take much insight, clairvoyance, intelligence, or chess strategy, to know the simplicity of Obama's masters' goals. To destroy America and its once-proud people. Television anyone? Dancing with the stars are on.

And all 8 Republicans on the committee voted NO on the background check bill.
