We can agree or disagree all day long.

Convicted felons cannot legally purchase a firearm. Persons on probation or parole can have an unwarranted search. Parolees are warned to avoid certain acquaintances (loss of freedom of expression).

But they are given the right to vote.

Is it a matter of time when the BATF asks in question 11 "Have you ever voted for a political party other than Democrat?"

King Obama will just sign it into law..Like he has many things recently..Where are the Republicans...? They are worthless....Not even a whimper about IRS scandal / Bengazi / fast furious / legislating at will...If we survive obama it will be a miracle ....Packing courts with lefty judges so he can continue doing damage when he's gone.....Or maybe its just me.....? Been hanging out with the old farts at the gun shop too much......

A man who has served his time and paid his debt should be released as a free man with all rights restored. Why release him otherwise?

Restoring the right to vote? Okay.

But what if every voter had to complete a form like the 4473 to exercise his / her right?

All I am saying is to levy the same restrictions on all rights. Either you have them or you don't.

To pick and chose which rights should apply and which rights cannot be restored should not a thing that can be done with the stroke of a pen. And if one right can be restored, than all rights should be restored. If you are afraid of the felon having a firearm, then keep him or her locked up.

that is true. many do return to crime after being released. when they break the law again, you throw the book at them. they make the choice when released as to what they are going to do. they can either straighten up and become responsible or act stupid and go bact to prison. it's nothing more than a choice.
