More people are killed with hammers than rifles. It would be a lot of leg work but I think we could solve our problems with hammers.

Do you consider Connelly and redflagnews to be trusted sources of news? I took a look at some of his past writings and they remind me of the old Radio Moscow short wave radio news programs. I am not convinced that his story is for real.

I think I'd like some independent confirmation as well.

Agreed. I'm not ready to blow this one around my usual network until I am confident of its legitimacy.

I'm a veteran but no PTSD diagnosis. That said, I'm confident the gooberment would find my mental state unacceptable in some other way, shape or form For instance, I once heard a VA psychiatric practitioner make a comment in passing to a fellow associate regarding his concern about combat soldiers whom show no sign of PTSD and how this might indicate a lack of social/moral conscience. I kid you not

I totally believe you.

Ask Locust what kind of behaviour might pass as suspicious from a LEO's perspective. Complete stop at stop signs, turn signal at EVERY turn, in other words, strickt adherance to the law.

How many pages are these letters?

I'm just currious about the "pain threshold" when the guy who signed one gets it shoved up his arse by a Veteran?

Tack

i was part of the process of determining my vet father incapable of determining his affairs. trust me....you have to be jello in order for VA to sign off on it.

they dont just strike a pen and poof, youre incompetent.

i think its a little over the top. you would have to be institutionalized to be deemed incapable.

Nope

Running folks off of the road. Flipping off little old ladies.
Running like hell for no apparent reason whenever you see a cop.

This is the letter referenced to. I don’t claim to be expert in this, but from what I can tell (the letter says as much) there can be a point where the VA can determine a veteran to be 'incapable of handling his VA benefits because of physical or mental condition.’ And the VA, in this same letter, is labeling this condition ‘incompetent' and is using that term to deny him any involvement in weapons in any way under threat of fines and imprisonment.

What all the discussion is about is whether or not a diagnosed condition of ‘PTSD’ will automatically place a veteran in this classification. As far as we know it is not yet a ‘fait accompli.’

This is a site to check out.
