Maybe. I don't trust politicians and I especially do not trust the statist bureaucrats who give them their marching orders nor the pollsters who tell them how to remain popular.

So far, Baird and P.M. Harper have resisted but they are under pressure. Will they cave? I don't know. Such pressure would mean nothing to me but there are few men of principle in politics any more. I try to remain optimistic. And continue to write letters, etc.

We are under attack, my friends. Make no mistake about it. Our opponent has organized internationally and means business. They cannot be underestimated.

BTW, in that link you posted: Project Ploughshares, the Canadian Coalition for Gun Control, Oxfam Canada, Oxfam Quebec and Amnesty International are all either contributors to IANSA or are their useful idiots.

I am sorry to say that Prof. Wendy Cukier of Ryerson University in Ontario (think Columbia but with lower academic credentials) was a founder of both the Coalition and IANSA. A sizeable part of the parentage of IANSA rests with Canadian gun zombies like Cukier.

Anybody who does not yet know who and what IANSA is needs to spend time finding out who they are and what they want. The first step to defeating an opponent is to understand what it is and what it wants. They have been organizing since the 90's and have a big head start.

This is scary: 2 days ago a Navy Admiral in charge of nukes was fired and replaced, and today an Air Force General in charge of nukes was fired and replaced, supposedly for extracurricular activities unrelated to their jobs. WTF is going on? Congress and much of the government is shut down, key military personnel are being shuffled around, the administration and justice dep't full of crooks, and grabbing more power daily. Is this some kind of "bloodless" takeover going on? In Numbnuts going to declare martial law?

Listening to the news Obama on the gun control tactic!

Senator Mike Lee added his name to this letter signed by a bipartisan group of fifty senators to announce the Senate's opposition to the ratification of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty

This came out 15 Oct 2013:

Great! I was happy to see a spark of patriotism in SC Senator Graham.

Illinois. Expected.
I hope things get better for you soon. My brother lives in central Illinois, and I wish he'd move to a free country.

Has anyone here bothered to read the treaty?

No treaty can supercede the US Bill of Rights:

You are correct, but ObaminationCare is also unconstitutional but the
SCOTUS called it a tax. Best just to not let it get ratified and be gone
with it.

SCOTUS is bought and paid for, at least they have recently been
supporting the 2A.

Both Arkansas senators signed it. Way to stand up guys, although it this state signing that letter only adds to their job security.

Since the POTUS and his czars are totally ignoring the Constitution, it is likely that he'll come up with a scheme to enforce the treaty even if Congress vetoes it. And if/when that happens the S will HTF, big time. If it comes to widespread violence and the U.S. becomes another Egypt/Libya, Syria, we'd best do everything we can to make sure the end result is to re-establish a Constitutional government, and prevent some loud-mouthed "savior" from getting a mob of followers who would establish him as dictator. The POTUS should be impeached, along with "Whore-house" Harry Reid, Eric Holder, John Kerry, and some of the senators. But that will never happen. So, bottom line is that the Senate had best refuse to ratify the treaty, and see to it that the POTUS can't override their veto.
