Just a couple of questions. Has anyone read this so called treaty? I looked on this site and it doesn't show ****! Are we going to believe everything we read on the internet? Has anyone done research on this "treaty"?

There is no treaty, not even a draft. A treaty may come about later this month or next. Soon after Obama entered office this trash came on the internet. The initial letter from the guy who dreamed this trash up claimed the UN had passed the treaty and Obama was fixing to sign it: The letter claimed no senate ratification was required. This is scare tactic crap at its finest.

They are taking advantage of the fact that many, if not most, Americans have no idea how their government works. Now the NRA has jumped on this money making band wagon. Got to pay the 1 million annual salary of La Pierre and the salaries of the other office bound fat cats at the NRA. i've been an NRA member for over 50 years and contributed thousands of my hard earned dollars to that organization: No more.

Quote:
The ATT, under the Supremacy Clause of the US Constitution, would have the power of a constitutional amendment and would, effectively, repeal the Second Amendment guaranteeing us the right to bear arms. We must fight to stop the US from signing the treaty and, if we fail, block Senate ratification.
Dick Morris is full of crap as a Thanksgiving turkey. Morris is a disgraced whore mongering liberal of the Clinton administration.

If one country votes against the treaty, its a goner. Right now China is opposed to such a treaty.

See SCOTUS in Reid vs. Covert:

http://www.law.cornell.edu/supct/htm...4_0001_ZO.html

Quote:
Article VI, the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution, declares:
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof, and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; . . .
There is nothing in this language which intimates that treaties and laws enacted pursuant to them do not have to comply with the provisions of the Constitution. Nor is there anything in the debates which accompanied the drafting and ratification of the Constitution which even suggests such a result. These debates, as well as the history that surrounds the adoption of the treaty provision in Article VI, make it clear that the reason treaties were not limited to those made in "pursuance" of the Constitution was so that agreements made by the United States under the Articles of Confederation, including the important peace treaties which concluded the Revolutionary [p17] War, would remain in effect. [n31] It would be manifestly contrary to the objectives of those who created the Constitution, as well as those who were responsible for the Bill of Rights -- let alone alien to our entire constitutional history and tradition -- to construe Article VI as permitting the United States to exercise power under an international agreement without observing constitutional prohibitions. [n32] In effect, such construction would permit amendment of that document in a manner not sanctioned by Article V. The prohibitions of the Constitution were designed to apply to all branches of the National Government, and they cannot be nullified by the Executive or by the Executive and the Senate combined.
There is nothing new or unique about what we say here.

From the UN resolution on the trade in arms treaty:

Quote:
acknowledging also the right of states to regulate internal transfers of arms and national ownership, including through national constitutional protections on private ownership, exclusively within their territory…
In UN speak the term "states" means countries.

They cannot be Acknowledging also the right of States to regulate internal transfers of arms
and national ownership
, They have no say about States or National rights in this nation. Acknowledging insinuates they have any legal standing, they have none!

We created a Monster and now its out of control even though we fund most of the actions and activities performed in its name. We are paying progressives and bureaucrats to eat up our sovereignty like acid. We need to withdraw and kick them out of our borders. No other actions will stop them from overriding our laws with the New World Order.

i totally agree.

It will never happen because future US presidents would have no forum to drum up support for their proposed invasion of countries that present no threat to the US. First time i heard the term "new world order" it came from Big Daddy Bush when he was drumming up support for Desert Shield/Storm. Bush I took Syria off the list of terrorist countries to get a Syrian troop commitment.

UN March, 2012 outline of proposed treaty:

http://www.un.org/ga/search/view_doc.asp?symbol=A/CONF.217/1&referer=http://www.un.org/disarmament/ATT/&Lang=E

See page 11:

Quote:
6. Recognizing further the sovereign right of States to determine any regulation
of internal transfers of arms and national ownership exclusively within their
territory, including through national constitutional protections on private ownership,
