why, because he's passionate about gun owners rights and the 2nd admendment or because he's says what he thinks instead of sugarcoating it?

he's not afraid to speak his mind and really doesn't care if the liberal gun haters like it or not. i say we need more like him.

yes he can get over the top at times, but he's speaks the truth about gun rights and is very proactive about them. no he's not the whole NRA or all the 2A, but IMO, he is an intregal part of it, an important part. no he's not near as polished and smooth as some, but by gosh he's been over the top for years. personally i would rather have him supporting our rights than have him against them.

Rg he IS NOT a draft dodger. He made it through Army boot camp at fort knox and got badly injured so they discharged him honorably. He is an awesome guy in person and can be very elegant in verbage. I can to-ask those that actually talk to me like axxe, kytowboater, wray, or texaswoodworker-but like me feels, why should you use that many words when you can get the point across w less words but words of great strength?

I watched his interview with pierce Morgan. He got a deferment for being in college as he said in the interview.

Just because he has money and fame he feels he can represent all of us. Sure, freedom of speech and all that means you can't stop him. But...if I had my way, I'd have him just go away. He exasperates a sensitive topic....we should be above flamboyant bravado. What good can come from acting like a kook??

We all need to make sure our voice gets heard. Who or what is going to stop Obama for issuing another one of his executive orders to try and supersede our 2nd amendment. I have a bad feeling Adolf-Obama isn't going to stop until he destroys this nation. Many wish Adolf-Obama would just disappear back to his homeland Kenya never to be heard from again.

Actually, I think his broadened celebrity as well as position with the NRA and inate ability to entertain knowledgeably is what gives him the impetus and influence to speak about the life-long comittment he has had to the Second Amendment and the safe shooting sports. His saracstic wit and direct honesty wouldn't always serve us well and aren't everyone's cup of tea. Lucky for us we didn't elect him our spokesman and NRA nor GOA appointed him it.

Yeah, he's one of the 1% (sorry, I forgot Big Brother says we're hating on the top 2% since the election), rich and famous -- so what!?

Why are so many concerned about Ted Nugent's past, while there are so many out there spewing anti American garbage and leading us down the road to communism? Even the Russians are making fun of us.

We have a VP who put together the original aw's ban in '95 and who needs psychological evaluation that's been put in charge of a committee regarding the possible ban of so called aw's and there are those here condemning Ted Nugent for being over the top? Pelosi speaks for the extreme left as well as the rest of her socialist party and is accepted unconditionally. So is she considered over the top? I'd say so, as well as nuts.

How did being civil and being afraid to loudly speak out the truth help McCain and Romney win their elections? That's right, they didn't win. We have to deal with politicians like Bloomberg and NY's Gov Cuomo, who want to ban and even perhaps confiscate our guns and we're concerned with whether, or not Ted Nugent served in the military? He knows guns, hunting and the individual American's right to keep and bear arms. I couldn't care less whether he served and I'm proud to have him speak for me.

i like alot of his music, i think he's entertainging if you can take it all with a grain of salt. but....

i think Ted would've been a viable ally for pro second amendment people until his comment recently at the NRA rally where he said if obama got re-elected this time next year he'd be in jail or dead. i don't care who you are, that comes off as a crazy a*s nutjob threating to kill the pres.

he did no one any favors by saying that, i don't care how you apologize or try to spin it
