Hey, maybe the people in Illinois will take notice.

MS already has preemption laws, and it's great! No city, county or township can make their own laws requiring or restricting gun carry or ownership beyond what the state law says-just to shortly paraphrase.

They'll take notice of you voting with your wallet.

Fun enough, AND THERE'S NO SCHEDULE.

You can do it every day.

I spend thousands in Florida, my new home state, on guns, ammo,

range time, accessories, restaurants, etc. It has a very favorable effect

on the state economy.

Vote with your wallet, also, and pretty soon states like

Michigan, Illinois, New Jersey, and New York will suffer financially.

Then, they will wake up,see the light,

and realize if they want a piece of the action, they will

have to change their laws to conform with the Bill of Rights.

Ideologues won't change, they'll just ask their buddy noboma to bail them out.

This is a fact!!

Altho my original home state of MI the socialist ideaology is so deeply ingrained i fear no amount of "Wakeup" will ever change them.

Altho i must say now that the unions/welfare suckers have totally bankrupted the state and driven every last good job out, those few that DO still work, are so broke they are learning there MUST be a better way.

As far as Sillinoise....best thing they ever did for IN was jump their tax rates some 66% overnight...the jobs are flooding to us...hopefully it wont be long i will be able to find gainful employment for more than Illegal mexican wages!

I'm glad to hear that some states still stand by the 2nd amendment.

(GunAuction.com) -- The state of Florida is going after a gang of gun outlaws by threatening them with $5,000 fines, firings and lawsuits. So who's in the gang? City councils and county commissions are now scrambling to rewrite local gun laws, because they're staring down the barrel at fines, firings and lawsuits because of a new state law, set to take effect Oct. 1.

The new state law allows judgments of up to $100,000 against local governments that enforce local gun laws. And, in an unusual move, the state law also says local officials could be fired and fined $5,000, with no representation from the city or county attorney.

Conn said city officials at first reacted with "a level of disbelief" as they realized their governments could be penalized and "you're going to be held personally liable as well."

State Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fort Walton Beach, who sponsored the law, said "There's been plenty of hand-wringing and bed-wetting from local government."

But he said something needed to be done to prevent them from "willfully" violating state law. He pointed to the city of South Miami, which passed an ordinance requiring trigger locks.

This was one of two major gun friendly laws that was trying to get passed at the beginning of the year. The other was an open carry bill. It started off as a full open carry bill that required a CCW permit, it also included concealed carry in colleges and universities. But thanks to the sheriff's association, liberals, and weak republicans/rinos; the closest to open carry we have is if your jacket blows open due to wind and exposes your firearm you dont go to jail. So its basically a "brief period of time" open carry for accidental brandishing. Its pathetic and weak, but at least it got the ball rolling.
