Again, there is a $2k limit on MANY policies- not all (mine does not)

READ your policy. It will tell you what you bought.

I am an insurance agent here in Colorado. The policies I sell offer $5,000 for the theft of firearms and accessories.
Although this thread thread may help others to be aware that there may be limits on the theft of firearms on a homeowners insurance policy, please note that different, states, companies, policies, have their own limits.
I'd check your OWN policy, and check with you OWN agent on the specifics of your OWN firearm theft protection.
