It would be interesting to see the differences in the cases if Zimmerman was black and Martin was white.

If you listen to the police recording ( a little Googling is in order, here ), the sounds in the background and Zimmerman's comments indicate he was already out of his vehicle and following Martin when the police operator said, "You don't need to do that " .
It appears that Zimmerman then stopped following and told police to meet him at his vehicle . That backs up his account of Martin walking up behind him, confronting him, and attacking him . Zimmerman's injuries, the ones that became invisible on ABC's video LOL, corroborate his account further .
Even the proscecutor says he never said the word " coon " . We now know that NBC cut and spliced the police recording to make Zimmerman appear racist . Yahoo, ABC, and every other news source displayed a photo of the 6'3" Martin, taken when he was about 12 years old and smaller . These same liars are still saying Zimmerman " got out of his SUV to follow even though the police told him not to ".
An American is being lynched by the media, forced into hiding by death threats, is falsely-charged with murder despite no evidence published against him, and has zero chance of a fair trial . Are we to be cowards and sit silently or will we speak up ?
For other media lynchings, visit Wikipedia and search Central Park Jogger, Richard Jewell, Duke Lacrosse Case and a host of others .

So, I guess you are saying that Martin dragged Zimmerman out of his car?

Poor Zimmerman......

Evidently, bad guys are to be protected. Isn't it amazing how they're saying if you're a law abiding citizen, we're damn sure NOT going to allow you to protect yourself from some poor, defenseless criminal?
"States" ought to do like South Carolina - just turn down the Federal money. We'd rather be our own boss than to have to give up our sovereignty and our rights, even though the money would be good to have.

We probably would never have heard of the event, as it would not have been reported by the media.

A couple things from one who lives near Sanford.

1. It is not a crime to get out of your car.
2. It is not a crime to follow someone randomly. Meaning not stalking.
3. The special prosecuter chose not to go to the grand jury, which might make one suspect that she did not have enough evidence to get a grand jury indictment.

The Tampa Bay Times had this in the paper today regarding "Stand Your Ground."

The Tampa Bay Times' anti-gun bias is showing. Anyway, I fail to see how the Stand Your Ground law even comes into play in the Zimmerman case. It is pretty clear now that Zimmerman was not standing but rather on his back with Trayvon Marting beating his head into the pavement . Therefore, Zimmerman lacked the ability to retreat .
