Default Shipping Ammo

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I sold some ammo on gunbroker and the buyer is from California. Is it legal to ship ammo there ? Thanks is advance as I can't keep track of their wacky laws.

It depends on the county, in San Francisco, Oakland, and LA, you can't as far as I know. There may be others but I am not aware of them. Your going to have to search the specific county and city laws to be 100% sure. It is okay to ship it on the state level though.

I believe gunbroker actually has a listing somewhere on the site stating where in Cali it is legal to ship ammo to. The above poster is 100% spot-on, though; it all comes down to localities.

I have bought ammo from dealers on line and they shipped it to my home.
via ups.
I live just outside los angeles.
Don't know if this is applicable to your situation.
